Frequently asked
How accurate is the halal verdict?+

Which madhhab are your rulings based on?+
We surface the mainstream Sunni position and flag differences of opinion. Always verify with your local scholar for personal certainty.
Is HalalScan UK free?+
Yes, the core scanner, search, and database are free. Premium features for businesses are planned.
Where does the product data come from?+
Product data is from the Open Food Facts community (Open Database License). E-number rulings are curated by our team.
Can I contribute?+
Yes — you can add missing products directly on Open Food Facts, and we'll pick them up automatically.
